| Sexual
Health Education
We offer a wide variety of health care services and programs to CMU students, their spouses and other authorized users.
One program is Sexual Health Education for both men and women. For
women, we offer S.H.E. (Sexual Health Education) classes prior to a
woman's first pelvic exam and/or for women who are interested in
beginning prescribed birth control. Many of the women have heard
horror stories regarding the pelvic exam, and many have been given
misinformation regarding birth control and sexually transmitted
diseases. Learning how to perform a self-breast exam is also
covered. For a good idea on what is covered in a S.H.E. class,
go to www.gyn101.com.
Various
birth control options are covered in a S.H.E. class include:
Abstinence, Condoms, Spermicides, Emergency Contraception, Depo
Provera, and the Pill.
There is no charge for this service. To schedule an appointment for
a S.H.E. class, call 989-774-5693. There
is a Women's Health History Form which needs to be completed either
prior to or at the beginning of the class. For your convenience,
we've linked the form for you to print, and complete prior to the
class. Woman's Health
